Remote communities face significant challenges due to limited infrastructure, making it difficult to provide essential services such as electricity. Responding to this need, Discovery House Distributors developed My Light – Community for such locations.
The My Light - Community system is modular, providing flexible lighting solutions for education centres, healthcare facilities or recreational areas. For instance, a hall that can accommodate 50 to 60 people would only require 2 lamp heads.
Each set includes 2 solar panels, 2 lamp heads, 2 remote controllers, wiring, installation accessories, and a manual. Compactly packed, the total weight is under 7kg. Each set costs S$150, inclusive of sea shipping, customs duties, and door-to-door delivery to most Southeast Asian countries (subject to confirmation by our freight forwarder upon order).
My Light - Community is useful in several ways

This support is helpful in all seasons, but especially during the rainy season when climate-related power outages are common. We are deeply grateful." — Dr. Ahsana, Pediatric Doctor, HOPE Field Hospital
My Light – Community is used in Hope Field Hospital for the Rohingya refugee camps, and in two other hospitals.
Power cuts used to halt surgeries and compromise maternal care, but HOPE Field Hospital can now provide medical aid without delay.

On Moheshkhali Island where stable electricity is a luxury, midwives can now deliver babies safely and respond to emergencies.
