Fatima, a single mother from Ramu, shared: "With this solar light, my children can finally study at night. It feels like a dream come true."
Mohammed, an elderly resident of Ukhiya, expressed: "For years, we relied on kerosene lamps. This solar light is life-changing and makes me feel safe at night."
Aisha, a pregnant woman from Camp-4, noted: "Having light in our home makes me feel more secure, and I can care for my children better."
Local leaders also emphasized its importance:
Mr. Rahim, a local council member, stated: "This initiative is a beacon of hope, empowering families and improving livelihoods."
Ms. Nabila, a community leader in Ukhiya, remarked: "These solar lights will bring much-needed relief, especially for children studying at night."
Mr. Ahmed, a leader of Ramu, expressed: "Seeing our community benefit from this initiative is truly heartwarming. We deeply appreciate the support from DHD and Hope Foundation."
Solar lights are also empowering underprivileged residents in the Chuadanga, Kushtia, Rajshahi, Natore, Magura, and Jhenaidah districts. Frequent load-shedding and the high cost of electricity have left many families in these areas living in darkness.
When Care Channels International (CCI) Bangladesh distributed solar lights to these communities, families expressed immense joy as they could now work, study, and carry out essential tasks in the evenings.
Solar lights are not just illuminating homes; they are lighting the way for progress and opportunity. Families can look toward a brighter, more hopeful future, even after the sun goes down.
