Mindanao has faced severe challenges brought about by an extended dry season and a growing demand for electricity. These factors have led to power supply disruptions in several areas, leaving many families, especially those in poorer communities, with little to no access to electricity. As part of its community efforts, CCI Mindanao distributed My Light to families in Aplaya, Davao, Esperanza, and Maguindanao.
Smiles were on many faces when families received My Light, as these lights were a much-needed lifeline. The lights enhanced safety and allowed students to study at night, enabling them to pursue their education despite the difficulties.
At Aplaya Elementary School, the lights made a huge difference for teachers, PTA officers and maintenance personnel, enabling them to work effectively despite frequent power outages.
This initiative has given hope to the community, empowering them to strive toward a brighter and more secure future.
A single solar light can transform lives and pave the way for a brighter tomorrow.
